Championing Social Equity, Culture, and Collective Empowerment Since 2007

Respect India is a nationally recognized humanitarian organization founded in 2007 by a group of committed altruists who envisioned a society where dignity, inclusion, and compassion are not just ideals—but lived realities. Headquartered in New Delhi, with operations across India, we address the nation’s most pressing social challenges: elder care, child protection, women's empowerment, cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and access to quality education and healthcare. Through a combination of grassroots action, policy dialogue, and strategic partnerships, we bridge the gaps between citizens, civil society, corporations, academia, and government bodies to promote inclusive, sustainable development.

We envision a nation where every individual—regardless of background—is treated with respect, has access to equal opportunities, and is empowered to live a life of dignity, purpose, and security. Our mission is to champion social justice and participatory development by delivering accessible solutions to systemic challenges, especially for women, children, and the elderly. With a focus on education, cultural heritage, and environmental responsibility, we engage communities in action-oriented programs that build awareness, resilience, and civic responsibility.

Our core initiatives include free education for underprivileged children across Delhi and Rajasthan, where we provide not just textbooks and uniforms, but also nutritional and emotional support. In a significant step towards digital inclusion, Respect India distributed iPads to meritorious students from economically weaker sections at Hansraj College. Our health and welfare efforts include regular medical camps, wellness sessions for senior citizens, and a special Breast Cancer Awareness Camp focused on early detection and prevention. Through these programs, we ensure that no one—especially the elderly and economically vulnerable—is left behind in receiving essential care.

Respect India’s commitment to women’s empowerment is reflected in our leadership programs, legal awareness drives, and financial literacy workshops. Our annual Pride of the Nation Excellence Award, held around International Women’s Day, honours women trailblazers across fields, turning recognition into inspiration. We’re also deeply invested in environmental protection, leading year-round tree plantation drives, waste management campaigns, and climate education workshops across schools and local communities. Through clean-up initiatives, sustainability awareness, and civic engagement, we work to build a greener, more resilient India.

We are equally passionate about cultural preservation and national dialogue. Flagship events like the Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar Memorial Lecture, seminars on pressing socio-political issues, and public poetry initiatives bring together policymakers, academics, and youth to reflect on the values that shape our society. Our honouring ceremonies in Delhi, Jodhpur, and Begusarai celebrate unsung heroes — from senior citizens to grassroots changemakers — and reaffirm our belief that every contribution matters. Our weekly food drives in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, provide meals to those battling hunger, reflecting our belief that dignity begins with meeting basic needs.

A milestone in our cultural programming is the Raj Kapoor Centenary Celebration, a year-long global tribute to the cinematic legend. Through exhibitions, retrospectives, and international festivals across Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Mauritius, Uzbekistan, and Singapore, we are celebrating not only his legacy but India's cultural resonance worldwide. This initiative invites support from philanthropists, institutions, and cinema lovers to project India's soft power and shared human values through the universal language of film.

At Respect India, we believe that real progress is rooted in respect — for people, for the planet, for tradition, and for truth. Whether we are educating a child, planting a tree, honouring a woman leader, or feeding the hungry, our goal remains the same: to build a society where every life is valued, every voice is heard, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Together, through compassion and collaboration, we are building an India where respect is not just a word — it is a way of life.
